Rattigan embarked on his musical journey under different aliases before adopting the name Current Joys. From 2011 to 2012, he released music as The Nicholas Project, and later as TELE/VISIONS. His debut album, titled "Wild Heart," was released on January 2, 2013, under the TELE/VISIONS moniker. During this period, he made his music available on the online platform Bandcamp.

After 2015, Rattigan shifted his focus to performing as Current Joys and experienced a notable change in his musical style. His second studio album, "Me Oh My Mirror," was released on February 16, 2015, under the Current Joys moniker. This album reflected his evolving artistic direction and showcased a departure from his previous musical endeavors.
