Afflecks Palace - The Only Light in This Tunnel is the Oncoming Train

Dubbed as Nu-Madchester, Affleks Palace have just released their second album, "The Only Light In This Tunnel Is The Oncoming Train".

Formed in Manchester back in 2019, and named after the alternative shopping centre in the Northern Quarter, Affleks Palace have been fairly prolific in their recorded output, The debut single "Forever Young" was released in September 2019 on the bands own label, Spirit of Spike Island.

This was followed by the E.P. "Hello. Is Anyone Awake?" which sold all 300 limited-edition vinyl copies pressed within a week of going on sale in January 2020. Their follow up sophomore EP "Everything Is An Attempt To Be Human" sold out 500 limited-edition vinyl copies on pre-order, placing them at no.3 in the UK vinyl chart on Friday 25th September 2020.

Affleks Palace describe themselves as indie guitar music that takes inspiration from The Smiths and Factory Records band The Durutti Column as well as The Stone Roses and these influences can be heard when listening to this new album "The Only Light In This Tunnel Is The Oncoming Train".
